Hello, Future Host Family!
My name is Tania, and I'm from Indonesia. I'm currently looking for a welcoming host family who would love to share their everyday life, culture, and experiences with me.

A little about me:
I'm an open-minded, responsible, and adaptable person who enjoys learning new things and exploring different cultures. I value honesty, mutual respect, and good communication.
Indonesian is my native language, I'm comfortable communicating in English (B2 level), and I'm currently learning Mandarin Chinese at HSK 3 level.????

My childcare experience:
I have informal childcare experience through babysitting my nephew. I've also always enjoyed interacting with children, even during everyday situations like travelling on a train.
There's a personal story behind my interest in childcare. I once passed the university entrance examination for Early Childhood Education (PG PAUD), but unfortunately, I didn't get the opportunity to pursue that path at the time.
My interest in childcare has never really gone away, and I see the au pair program as a wonderful opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn more about child development, and become more confident in caring for children.

My hobbies & interests:
• Swimming, snorkeling, and currently learning freediving.
• Cycling, although I haven't made it part of my routine lately??
• Cooking and preparing my own meals. I'd love to learn traditional Finnish recipes too! ??
• Exploring nature, outdoor activities, and discovering new places.
• Spending time with animals, especially cats and other furry friends??

• Happy to learn new skills and help with everyday household responsibilities.

• Indonesian passport: Ready!????
• Finnish residence permit: Not obtained yet; ready to start the application process once matched with a suitable host family.
• Availability: December 2026 / January 2027, depending on document processing.
• Preferred duration: 6-12 months.

Why au pair?
For me, becoming an au pair is more than just travelling abroad. It's an opportunity to experience a new culture, become more independent, improve my language skills, and develop my knowledge of childcare.
I believe children are wonderful gifts, and I'd love to gain experiences that could also help me prepare for my future.
