Hello! My name is Thea, I’m a 22-year-old Filipina from the Philippines and a fresh graduate with a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English. I’m excited to introduce myself and hopefully find a kind, welcoming family who would be happy to have me as part of their home.
I have several years of experience caring for children and tutoring. I started helping take care of children when I was around 13 years old, and I have cared for children of different ages and personalities. I also had experience babysitting three siblings, ages 3, 5, and 7, where I helped with their daily routines, played with them, assisted with learning activities, and made sure they were safe and comfortable. I have also cared for my young niece and have experience tutoring children in English, basic mathematics, arts, and other school activities.
Because of my education background, I genuinely enjoy helping children learn. I love reading stories, drawing, doing arts and crafts, singing, playing educational games, helping with homework, and spending time outdoors. I believe children learn best when they feel safe, understood, and encouraged, so I always try to be patient and supportive.
I would describe myself as responsible, patient, caring, independent, and adaptable. I understand that every child is different, and I am willing to learn your family’s routines, rules, and parenting style. I also understand that being an au pair is not only about childcare but also about becoming a respectful member of the family and experiencing each other’s culture.
I have been a working student since Grade 6 until I graduated from college, which taught me to be hardworking, responsible, and independent at a young age. I am used to balancing responsibilities and adapting to different situations. I would love to bring my positive attitude, Filipino values, and love for children into your home.
I am hoping to find a family where we can build a genuine connection based on trust, respect, and good communication. I would be happy to share my culture with your family while also learning about your traditions, language, food, and everyday life.
