Hi! My name is Zoë, I’m 22 years old and I come from a French-British family, so I grew up speaking both French and English. I recently graduated from the University of Southampton with a First-Class degree in Marine Biology, and I’m now looking for the opportunity to spend a few months living with a family as an au pair.

I really enjoy spending time with children and getting to know their individual personalities. I’m patient, encouraging and quite playful, but I also enjoy helping children learn and become more confident and independent. I previously babysat three children aged 5, 9 and 12, helping them with their schoolwork and homework in English and French, as well as playing lots of games and making sure they had fun.

I’d be very happy to help with homework and tutoring as part of my role. I studied Maths, Biology and Chemistry at A-level, achieving A*s in all three, so I can particularly help with Maths and Sciences. As a native French and English speaker, I can also help your children learn either language naturally through conversation, reading, games and everyday activities.

Outside of academics, I’m a very active and outdoorsy person. I love swimming and being by the sea, as well as yoga, Pilates, going to the gym and generally spending time outside. I also love reading, travelling, learning languages and discovering new cultures. I’ve lived and worked abroad before, including working as a Divemaster in Italy, so I’m comfortable adapting to new environments and meeting people from different backgrounds.

One of the things that attracts me most to being an au pair is the opportunity to actually become part of a family’s everyday life rather than simply visit another country as a tourist. I’d love to learn about your culture, share my own French and British cultures with you, practise languages and hopefully build a genuine relationship with both the children and parents.

I’m open-minded about where in the world I go and am currently looking for a stay of a few months. Most importantly, I’d like to find a family where we feel comfortable with each other and where I can be someone the children enjoy spending time with, while also being a reliable and helpful presence for the parents.
