Hi families!

My name is Sofia, and I’m so excited at the possibility of supporting a family as a nanny. I’m currently a college student studying Child Development, with one year left before I graduate, and I’m really looking for meaningful hands-on experience as I continue growing in this field that I care so deeply about.

I’ve worked as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), supporting neurodivergent children, including autistic children who use AAC devices, and I truly love creating calm, patient, and encouraging environments where kids feel safe, understood, and supported at their own pace. I also have experience working in afterschool programs, where I helped lead fun activities, supported social skills, and encouraged confidence through play, structure, and creativity.

On a personal note, I have two younger brothers who I absolutely adore, and being their big sister has honestly shaped so much of who I am. They’ve taught me patience, responsibility, and how important it is to show up with both care and fun energy, especially when working with kids.

I’ve also been really lucky to live in Costa Rica for several years and recently study abroad in London, both of which made me very adaptable, open-minded, and comfortable stepping into new environments and building connections quickly.

I would describe myself as warm, reliable, and very hands-on—I love engaging with kids, whether that’s playing, helping with routines, supporting learning, or just being a steady, positive presence in their day. I also really value building strong relationships with both children and parents so there’s trust and ease on both sides.

I’m currently looking for a live-in or summer nanny opportunity where I can fully support a family, be a helpful and dependable part of the home, and continue growing in my experience with children. I’m flexible, open to travel, and genuinely excited about the possibility of becoming part of a family’s daily life in a positive and supportive way.
