Introduction

It's a real pleasure for me to introduce myself. My name is Ravaka, but you can call me Ravaka. I'm twenty five years old and I'm from Madagascar, the fourth largest island in the world. I grew up in Antsirabe located 170 km from the capital Antananarivo. I have an extended family composed by: my mommy, my daddy, my three siblings, my three cousins from my daddy's side and my mommy's dad or my grandfather. Currently my daddy doesn't work and my mom works as a parliamentary assistant. As I said I have three siblings so we are four and I'm the second child after my unique and big brother aged of twenty five. After me, there are my two sisters aged of twenty two and thirteen. So I'm the first daughter in my family and like the second mom for my siblings. My parents adopted my cousin when he was eight and my two cousins few months ago.
I'm very close to my family but I'm okay with living far from them and that's actually what happens. After getting my baccalaureate degree, I moved to the capital to pursue my study in political science at IEP Madagascar. I lived at my auntie's house during 6 months and moved to another auntie's house and I stayed there for three months. During this time I was focused on my study but unfortunately I didn't achieve it because of my parent's financial issues. Then I looked for a little job and it lasted for about three years. I worked as a hostess event, service costumer in a call center, sold second hands clothes and so on. These steps of my life forged me to be more mature, responsible and able to face any situations; those are my strengths.
Let's talk a little bit about my personality: I'm a little bit shy in the first contact but once I break the ice I'm very talkative and sociable. As a first daughter, the responsibility is an inborn personality for me and I also know how to follow the rules. I'm the kind of person who prefers preparing everything before the D day, so I'm a very organized person. I also know how to drive, I've got my driver license last year and I can master both automatic and manual cars. I also can speak French. My favorite moment is when spend time with my family and doing different activities with them like playing cards or cooking and eating together. With my family we really love eating and trying new recipes lead by my mom and every Sunday We do barbecue with the whole relatives at home. I also love swimming, it's my favorite sport and activity that I do with my friends. Before, my siblings and I were in a swimming club and used to train every Saturday. Sometimes, when I'm alone at home I take time to read book, watch TV, cook (waffle, pancakes…) or take care of myself like doing skincare. Having fun with my siblings is the gold moment when we are all together they are the best part of me my first best friends.
I believe I would be an excellent Au pair for you because of my unique background and professional experience. Coming from Madagascar, I bring a rich cultural perspective and a deep appreciation for diversity, which I believe can enrich your family's daily life. Additionally, my professional experience makes me more organized and able to give a supportive environment for your children. I would be excited to share my culture and learn from yours, making this mutually satisfying experience.
I'm convinced that to become SOMEONE start from parenting, taking care of children. It's all about responsibilities to make sure that the kids are in the right way. And that is the biggest reason that pushes me to become an Au pair: helping host parents as possible as I can and contribute in children's evolution. The primary resource of success is in Mindset, and I think that's the reason why the United States of America is one the most powerful country in the world. So being an Au pair there can help me easily adopt a new mindset and found the best version of myself, that's the second reason why I choose the United States of America. And the last reason is because I really appreciate being with kids, spending time with them is like a loophole.
The first baby that I took care was my little sister when I was about fourteen. She was under my responsibility: I feed her, played with her, dressed her, and took her for a walk when I didn't have class. That was my first experience in childcare. Once I grew up, my uncle used to ask me to care of his three children while he and his wife are working. To broaden my experience, last year I did a six month internship in a school for three to four year-olds and in an integrated class with autistic children. At the beginning of this year, I worked for a month as a teaching assistant in school.
Thank you for considering my application to be your future Au pair. I would love to arrange a video call to discuss any questions you may have. I am excited about the possibility of working together and I am looking forward to hearing from you soon!
